The Ecumenical Council

The Ecumenical Council owes its existence to the fact that we are in an ecumenical partnership with our Anglican and Free Church brethren here at St Augustine of Canterbury. Roman Catholics, the Church of England, the Methodists and the United Reform Church are represented within it.

The Council meets on average four times a year and we endeavour to work together both in worship and on social activities. The Council draws its membership from the clergy and lay representatives from within our communities. We strive to learn more about each other's traditions. The Ecumenical Council is currently in abeyance but we hope to resume working together in the autumn.
