FIFTEENTH SUNDAY OF YEAR C
Sea Sunday
14th July 2019

Dear Parishioner,

On this Fifteenth Sunday we remember all who dedicate their lives to work at Sea. May they be protected and blessed. Today we will hear again the great parable of Good Samaritan.

The First Reading is part of Moses' farewell speech to the Israelites. He exhorts them to commit themselves to the Lord by observing his commandments. Whereas previously these commandments were considered as being external to them, now they are presented as springing from within themselves. They are written in their hearts, and therefore are not far away from or beyond their strength. Jesus reduced the commandments to two. 'You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with your entire mind, and your neighbour as yourself'.

God bless you all,

Deacon Kevin.
