FIFTH SUNDAY OF YEAR A
(Racial Justice Day)
9th February 2020

Dear Parishioner,

Today is Racial Justice Sunday. It is an opportunity for all Christians to join together in: Reflecting of the importance of racial justice and praying for an end to misunderstanding, racism and injustice.

On this fifth Sunday of the Year we are reminded in the Gospel that we are 'salt of the earth and light of the world'. Christian discipleship is not simply a private matter: being a disciple means making a difference in the family, among friends and in the world. There is a long history of people taking on great projects under the motivation of their Christian beliefs, but a living faith will always have its roots in the everyday living. The light must first shine within our home and parish community before it will light up the world.

God bless,

Deacon Kevin.
